Comfort closing lets you hold the lock button on your BMW's key and watch the windows and panoramic roof close themselves — no more walking back to check, no more holding keys in door locks. On most models the car already has the capability; it's a coding setting that switches it on.
We enable comfort closing where your vehicle supports it, verify it works on your actual windows and roof, and it can be reversed at any time.
How it works once enabled
With comfort closing active, pressing and holding the lock button on the remote closes the windows and sunroof from outside the car. Depending on the model, the same hold on unlock can reopen them. The function uses the car's existing closure motors and anti-trap protection.
Compatibility notes
Comfort closing is broadly available across F and G Series models, but behaviour varies — for example, whether the sunroof participates and whether folding mirrors also close. Your vehicle's equipment determines this, and we confirm it before coding.

Why doesn't BMW enable it from the factory?
