Privacy Policy

Template notice: this page is provided as a starting point written with UK GDPR and UK consumer law in mind, but it is not legal advice. Have it professionally reviewed before relying on it for your business.

This policy explains how Jono's Vehicle Solutions ("JVS", "we") collects and uses personal information, in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who we are

JVS is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. Contact: j.v.solutions@outlook.com, 07404 293327, Unit 23A, Trench Lock 3, Telford, Shropshire, TF1 5ST.

What we collect

  • Enquiry form: your name, phone, email, vehicle details (registration, make, model, year, VIN if provided), description of the problem, preferred date and any photo/file you attach.
  • Store orders: your order details, vehicle registration/VIN provided at checkout, and payment confirmation data.
  • Standard technical logs (e.g. server logs and analytics, where enabled) about how the website is used.

How we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry, arrange appointments and carry out work on your vehicle.
  • To fulfil and verify store orders (including checking vehicle compatibility).
  • To keep records of work carried out.

Our lawful basis is primarily legitimate interests (responding to customer enquiries and running a vehicle services business) and performance of a contract for orders.

Payments

Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. Card details are never seen or stored by JVS. The provider shares with us the order, contact and payment confirmation information needed to fulfil your order.

Sharing & retention

We only share personal data where necessary to provide our services (e.g. the payment provider) or where required by law. We keep enquiry data only as long as needed for the enquiry and any follow-up; order records are kept for accounting and legal purposes.

Your rights

You have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction and objection, and the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). To exercise any right, contact j.v.solutions@outlook.com.
