Coding is the practice of changing how a BMW's control units are configured — enabling functions, adjusting behaviours, correcting settings and matching components. It's specialist work that rewards experience: the same menu option can mean different things on different chassis generations, and a wrong value can cause faults that take far longer to find than to cause.
We code BMWs daily with specialist software backed by manufacturer-level diagnostic equipment, and we document every change we make.

How we work
We read the vehicle's current configuration before touching anything, apply changes against the correct control units for your chassis, and verify each function works before the car leaves. Every session is backed up, so changes are reversible.
Workshop or remote
Coding can be carried out at our Telford workshop or, for many tasks, remotely via JVS Remote Connect — you provide a Windows laptop and ENET cable, we do the rest over a secure session.

Do you fix coding done elsewhere?
Yes — misapplied coding from generic tools or copied 'code lists' is a common fault source we're asked to diagnose and correct.
How much does coding cost?
Individual feature changes and full-vehicle coding sessions are quoted after we confirm what your car supports. Small batches of features are handled in a single session.
