What ISTA actually is

ISTA (Integrated Service Technical Application) is the diagnostic and workshop software that BMW's own dealer network uses. It gives a workshop access to the manufacturer's own fault-finding procedures: full vehicle scans of every module, guided test plans for specific symptoms, live data, wiring diagrams, and the programming and coding functions needed for software work.
